Feeding Baby is much more than meeting a physical need. It is a way of communicating love, acceptance, and mutual trust. The sense of trust is the first social-emotional sense to develop, and is strengthened or weakened through feeding experience.

6 Ways to Improve Your Child's Nutrition

  1. Forming good habits is easier than breaking bad ones.
  2. Healthful food grows a healthy body. Sugar, salt, fat, and cholesterol are not good for your children, just as they are not good for you.
  3. Keep healthful food conveniently accessible.
  4. Never spotlight dessert as a goal for better eating. Never use any food as a reward.
  5. Cut down on fats after age 3.
  6. If your child eats poorly occasionally, make up for it the next day. Consistency is important, but don't become the Food Police. Be neither a nutrition pushover nor a food fanatic.
